Easter is one of the most enjoyable holidays, smack dab in the middle of the autumnal season, the weather is warm and the chocolate is extra delicious. Of course, when you have kids there is some planning required to keep them entertained over the long weekend. Luckily, we have put together this handy guide to help you plan your long weekend perfectly.
The holiday stretch starts on the 3rd of April this year and finishes on Monday, the 6th. What are your Easter traditions? Do you roll eggs down a hill? Stash eggs and treats around the garden for an epic hunt? Or maybe you roast a big leg of lamb and just enjoy the sunshine. You can still follow your normal traditions while exploring what else Chermside has to offer.
From Easter Friday to Easter Monday, we detail all the exciting activities to explore across Chermside.
How To Use Our Guide
With so many different activities to choose from across Chermside, we decided the best way to help you plan your weekend is to break down your options day by day. That way, you can sit down with your schedule and pencil in the activities you want to try out and the family commitments you’ve already made.

Your weekend had been plenty action-packed, but that doesn’t mean you need to slow down now. The best way to wrap up the holiday? A putt around an indoor mini golf course, of course.
Miniature Golfing
If there’s one way to keep the children entertained and give parents a bit of fun, it’s with another round or two of miniature golf! Holey Moley has everything you need for a family day out – in addition to the rounds of golf, there’s also karaoke, arcade games, a fun house, and an escape room. Plus, there’s food and drinks for when you work up a thirst and hunger.
You don’t need to book ahead, but it gets busy so you probably should make a reservation to avoid disappointment, especially on a holiday weekend!

Enjoy the Long Weekend
Of course, you could just pack up the car and head to the nearest barbecue spot to enjoy a day in the park. There are so many in Chermside to choose from, and if you wrap your hot cross buns in foil you can even give them a little toasting on the grill.
However you choose to spend the long weekend, make sure you stock up on chocolate! It’s set to be an egg-citing holiday, and with plenty of activities to choose from and beautiful parks with barbecues, you will never run short of things to try. With so much to do, you might want to fire up a spreadsheet to make sure you don’t miss out on a single thing.
