Tis the season for family fun, which is why the Geebung RSL Kids Christmas Party is back, ready to sprinkle some holiday magic into your festive season.
On Saturday, 14 December, children can expect a sleigh-full of delight, with music and surprises that are sure to make spirits bright.
Geebung RSL Chief Executive Officer Greg Hurley said Christmas was a time to celebrate family.
“Geebung RSL membership is evolving as the suburb of Geebung and the greater local area is now more diverse, with a range of demographics and so many young families moving into Geebung in recent years,” Greg said.
“The Geebung RSL is a community asset to be enjoyed by everyone as the friendly local club – a place of belonging.”
Interactive Entertainment and a Visit from Santa
The interactive show, hosted by Deana and Co, is set to bring the Christmas spirit alive for kids.
“Children, parents and grandparents are encouraged to dress up in their best Christmas outfits, the entertainer Deana Peher and her support performers dance and play fun music games with the kids and of course, there is a surprise visit from ‘The Big Red Man’ as well,” Greg said.
Deana Peher is renowned as an award-winning performer and entertainment coordinator at several southeast Queensland clubs, who, according to Greg, has “a wonderful stage presence and rapport with all ages, from little kids to seniors, with a wide array of Christmas songs and other popular songs to enjoy.”
Ashton, 7, who attended last year with his little sister, Addison, is looking forward to this year’s party.
“The family Christmas Party was so much fun,” Ashton said. “We played so many fun games and I won lots of prizes. Everyone loved when Santa turned up and he gave out presents to everyone. Everyone should come to the event because it was so much fun and you will have a great time.”
The holiday cheer kicks off at 10.30am sharp. Tickets are just $5 per child and bookings are essential to secure your spot for this jolly Christmas celebration.
Parents will be asked to bring a wrapped and labelled present for Santa to hand out during the event, so please ask about the gift when making your booking.
