Superstar country music duo Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley are set to light up Kedron-Wavell next month with their Up, Down and Sideways tour.

The pair will deliver their award-winning music and maybe even debut some new tunes.

“We are about to hit the recording studio and record our third album, so yes, new music is definitely on the cards for our gig at Kedron,” Brooke said. “We are bringing the whole band, so it’s going to be a fun, rockin’ night!”

Following their success at the 2023 Golden Guitar Awards, where they took home Country Music Capital News Group or Duo of the Year, Song of the Year for their single Star of the Show, and Apple Music Single of the Year for Memory Lane, Brooke and Adam are on top of their game.

“To be recognised in any award ceremony is pretty bloody special and to take any home is just that icing on the cake,” Brooke said. “It’s a great way to celebrate all the hard work you have poured your heart and soul into with your peers too – we do love a good party!”

More Than Just Music: A Dynamic Duo

She said she and Adam were delighted that Up, Down and Sideways had resonated with fans.

“The response we had to our sophomore album Up, Down and Sideways was awesome,” she said. “We had a lot of couples reach out to us saying they really resonated with our music as well as individuals, which is always a great thing to hear – means our music has connected, which is all you ever want.”

In addition to their musical success, Brooke and Adam have stayed busy with various projects, including hosting Hang at the Wang events at their farm. Brooke was a runner-up on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! and the wife-and-husband team placed third on The Amazing Race Australia. They also launched a new podcast, Heads in the Shed.

“All these experiences connect us with our fans and I think with the forever changing landscape of the music industry it’s not a bad thing to wear a few different hats,” Brooke said.  “Especially when Covid hit, it’s always a positive when you have different forms and ways to make a living doing what we love and that love is music.”

Brooke and Adam will be supported at Kedron-Wavell by Brisbane-based country musician Peter Chapman.
