Locals can look forward to a joyful start to the holiday season at the Burnie Brae Christmas Markets.
On Saturday, 22 November, the Burnie Brae Hall in Chermside will be turned into a buzzing festive hub, full of artisan stalls, live music, delicious food, and family fun from 8am to noon.
Head of Burnie Brae Member and Care Services, Aynsley Johnson, said they were really looking forward to another fantastic turnout.
“This event has grown so much in just a few years,” Aynsley said. “It’s always such a great morning, and we love seeing the community come together.”
Visitors can browse handmade gifts, homewares, jewellery, and Christmas decorations while enjoying brewed coffee, gourmet treats, and a BBQ fundraiser. Children can take part in free face painting and meet Santa, adding to the morning’s holiday cheer.
The event promises a relaxed atmosphere where attendees can have a morning coffee and listen to music or simply catch up with friends while exploring the market.
Entry is free, with both onsite and street parking available. While pets are not allowed, assistance dogs are welcome. The market offers a chance to support local makers and connect with the community ahead of the festive season.
