Wiggle your way into the school holidays! Four favourite Wiggly friends are set to light up the stage in the Dorothy the Dinosaur Spectacular Show next month.
The fun comes alive at Kedron-Wavell on Saturday, 19 July, when Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and Captain Feathersword deliver a show-stopping musical performance.
General Manager of Commercial at The Wiggles, Luke Field, said the show features all of The Wiggles’ greatest hits, making it a sing-and-dance-along extravaganza.
“It’s an interactive experience packed with bouncing balls, bubbles, puppetry and colourful inflatable props – perfect for keeping little ones entertained and engaged from start to finish,” Luke said.
“It’s absolutely magical when all the Wiggly friends are on stage together. Each character brings something unique to the performance – Wags the Dog gets everyone moving with fun dance styles, Henry the Octopus creates joyful chaos with his bubbles, and Captain Feathersword is always good for a laugh (he’s a bit clumsy and falls over a lot!) The group dynamic creates a sense of fun, warmth and community that children and parents love.”
Dorothy the Dinosaur Takes the Spotlight
This time, it’s Dorothy the Dinosaur taking centre stage.
“Dorothy the Dinosaur holds a special place in the hearts of young fans,” Luke said. “She’s friendly, gentle and always ready for a song or a dance. Her love of rosy tea and good manners makes her a relatable and comforting character for children. She’s been part of The Wiggles’ world for years and continues to charm each new generation.”
In addition to Wiggles favourites like Romp-Bomp-A-Stomp, Rock-A-Bye Your Bear, and Hot Potato, the show will feature Bouncing Balls – a new crowd-pleaser that’s been a hit on YouTube and in live performances.
“During the performance, we throw big beach balls into the crowd for the children to bounce and pass around,” Luke said. “It’s such a fun, energetic moment that always gets everyone involved.”
As the main Wiggles cast tours overseas, the Dorothy the Dinosaur Spectacular will travel across Australia, including regional towns.
“We’re so grateful to every family who comes along – it means the world to us,” Phil said. “We promise a fun-filled show that will create magical memories for everyone. So get ready to sing, get ready to dance, and most of all… get ready to Wiggle!”
