After a remarkable success last year, the All Saints Anglican Church is preparing for another special Mother’s Day Morning Tea this month.
The event is set to take place on Friday, 9 May, in the All Saints Parish Hall in Chermside and promises to be a morning filled with good company, delicious treats and lively entertainment.
Following a turnout of 65 ladies, one gentleman and a baby girl last year, Fay Nolan, a member of the Parish, said the community was invited to bring their family and friends to celebrate once again.
“All Saints has grown a great reputation for its outreach events and we are hoping for as many and even more than attended last year,” Fay said.
“The church celebrates days like Mother’s Day to honour the sacred role of mothers, to strengthen community bonds, offer support, promote Christian values and provide opportunities for outreach, love and encouragement within the parish.”
In addition to the spread of cakes, biscuits and sandwiches, guests can look forward to the chance to win fantastic prizes in the raffle. The Brisbane City Sounds Chorus, who graced last year’s event, will also provide entertainment.
“They are an amazing bunch of ladies and really joined in with the spirit of the morning,” Fay said.
