Back in full swing this month, St Dympna’s Spring Fair promises a day bursting with family fun, food, and festivities.
A major highlight of the school calendar, the fair returns to St Dympna’s Primary School in Aspley on Sunday, 14 September, thanks to the school’s Parents and Friends Group (PFG).
PFG president and fair convenor Nadia Edmonds said they were beyond excited to bring the Spring Fair back to life this year.
“It’s always such a joyful day filled with fun, food, and community spirit – but what we’re really looking forward to is seeing the school grounds buzzing with families, friends, and laughter,” Nadia said. “There’s nothing quite like it!”
She said that this year’s event had some exciting new additions.
“Alongside classic favourites like our cake stall, plant stall, and silent/live auctions, families can look forward to pony rides and an adorable animal farm – perfect for the little ones,” she said. “We’ll also have food trucks, thrilling rides, and of course, our major car raffle!
“And if you’re a foodie, our variety of food trucks and stalls will keep you well-fed throughout the day, from sweet treats to savoury delights.”
Supporting the School and Building Community
The Spring Fair is a vital fundraiser for the school. Nadia said that attendees could support the school by buying raffle tickets, enjoying the rides, grabbing something from the stalls, or bidding on the auctions.
“It’s all for a great cause, and every dollar raised goes back into resources and programs for our students,” she said.
“The Fair is a real community day – it’s a chance for current families, past students, neighbours, and friends to come together and enjoy a fun-filled day out. It’s a celebration of our shared spirit, and it’s always lovely to see new faces discovering what makes our school community so welcoming.
“With something happening in every corner of the school – from market stalls to live auctions, animal encounters, food, and laughter – it’s the kind of day that leaves you smiling all the way home.”
She thanked everyone involved in lending their time, talent and enthusiasm to the fair.
“We can’t wait to welcome you on Sunday, 14 September – bring the family, bring your appetite, and get ready for a fantastic day!” she said.
Tickets for the car raffle are $10 and are limited to 5000 tickets. Purchase tickets here.
