Trivia lovers are invited to enjoy a night of fundraising and friendly competition at the Blue Jays Netball Club Trivia Night.

Held on Saturday, 11 July, the event will take place at Earnshaw College, Banyo.

Club Secretary and Events Coordinator Kylie Peters said the event was created as a fun way to raise funds for the club.

“We wanted more fundraising opportunities to be able to keep lower fees, provide specialist sessions, (and) update equipment for our netball club,” Kylie said. “A lot of our committee are trivia nerds and love an event, so we thought ‘why not hold a trivia night?’”

The evening will feature trivia rounds, games, raffles, a silent auction, a number board and prizes.

Raising Funds While Strengthening Community

Kylie said the event was also an opportunity for club members and supporters to connect outside of competition.

“Netball clubs are built on community spirit, teamwork and connection,” Kylie said. “Events like this provide an opportunity for our older players, parents, coaches, volunteers and supporters to come together in a relaxed setting and strengthen those relationships.”

Kylie said funds raised on the night would contribute towards equipment, training resources, and development opportunities for coaches and players, and would help “keep participation accessible for families”.

“Fundraising plays a significant role in helping our club continue to provide opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels,” she said.

The event is open to players aged 12 and over, families, local businesses and community members.
