Families are invited to embrace the winter chill with a free afternoon of entertainment at the inaugural Winterfest event in Grange this month.
Hosted by Marchant Ward Councillor Danita Parry, Winterfest will take place at Lanham Park on Saturday, 4 July, offering activities for all ages.
Cr Parry said she was excited to bring a new family event to one of Marchant Ward’s much-loved local parks.
“Winterfest is going to be a really fun afternoon for local families, with dinosaurs, jumping castles, face painting, bubbles, live music and plenty happening across the park,” Cr Parry said.
Activities and Community Highlights
“Lanham Park is such a great spot to bring people together, and I’m really looking forward to seeing it come alive for the afternoon.
“It’s free, it’s local, and it should be a fabulous way to enjoy a winter afternoon with the community.”
The event will also feature a giant rainbow slide, a petting zoo, kids’ entertainment from DJ Shorty Brown, line dancing, messy play and craft activities, and a range of traditional wooden games.
Food vendors and community stalls will be on site throughout the afternoon.
The nearby Grange Social Bowls Club will also be open, with food and drinks available for purchase.
