Kedron-Wavell is bringing back its sell-out Margarita Masterclass for a second round of deliciously creative cocktails!

For those who missed out the first time, mark your calendars for Friday, 28 March, and get ready to shake, stir and sip your way to cocktail perfection (all while enjoying mouth watering Mexican bites).

Kedron-Wavell operations manager Thomas Lidstone said the Margarita Masterclass offered a unique, interactive experience where attendees could enjoy tasting margaritas and learn cocktail-making tips to try at home.

“We received great feedback about how enjoyable it was to have an interactive experience that everyone could participate in,” Thomas said.

“I think a lot of people were interested in the mixing of flavours and how these can affect the pallet whether a drink is muddled, shaken, stirred or strained to get the most out of the ingredients.”

“Guests also loved the Mexican food and drink pairing.

“The event sold out quickly and many people asked if there would be another session. Based on the enthusiasm, we thought it was definitely worth doing again.”

Thomas said this month’s Margarita Masterclass would be similar to the sold-out event in November, with a few changes.

“We have upped the ante with the tequila on show for this class, being Don Julio,” he said. “We will be introducing those that attend to four different styles of tequila with four unique flavours: Blanco Showtime Margarita, Anejo Spicy Margarita, Reposado Margarita and Rosado Passion Play. All of these cocktails are designed to bring out the flavours of each tequila.”

While attendees are mastering the creation of these cocktails, they will be able to indulge in a Mexican bites menu created by the events’ chef to pair perfectly with the tequilas. The menu will include easy-to-share dishes like chip and dip appetisers, a burrito buffet and sweet and hot churros for dessert.

Thomas said the Mexican style of food and drink always “brought out the fiesta in people”.

“The room is a nice setting where people can converse with one another and share some laughs, good food and good drinks and learn a little bit whilst doing it,” he said.

As always, guests are reminded to drink responsibly.
