Downfall Creek Bushland Centre is a bushland escape in the heart of suburbia. Located at Raven Street Reserve, the venue invites visitors to reconnect with the environment while learning about conservation and sustainability.
As part of Chermside Hills Reserve, it serves as a gateway to scenic walking trails, interactive exhibits and hands-on educational displays that highlight the beauty and importance of our local environment.
McDowall Ward Councillor Tracy Davis said the Council was committed to bringing more to see and do to our suburbs.
“Our three bushland centres in Downfall Creek, Karawatha Forest and Boondall Wetlands help residents learn more about our beautiful natural surroundings and embrace our fantastic outdoor lifestyle,” Councillor Davis said.
“Last year we had over 32,000 visitors of all ages visit the Downfall Creek Bushland Centre to enjoy free events and tours, pick up free native plants or simply play and relax in the reserve.
“With the Bushland Centre open four days a week and the reserve open all year round, we encourage residents to come down and learn about the plants and animals in Brisbane’s backyard.”
