Come and celebrate the meeting of high fashion with upcycling, inspiration and sustainability in a sparkling evening of glamour, luxury and innovation.
Fashique Runway 2025 will present the talents of First Nations and other featured designers on Saturday, 12 April at Kedron-Wavell. Style and sophistication will abound as attendees enjoy fine dining, a drink on arrival, live entertainment, a stunning fashion parade and mingle with leaders in sustainable couture.
In this tale of pre-loved clothing to haute couture royalty, Cheryl Creed, founder of Fashique Runway and Murrii Quu Couture, is very much the hard-working fairy godmother. Not only is there magic in her ability to transform op shop finds into garments of beauty and style, but there is also generosity in how she encourages and inspires other designers to follow their dreams.
Cheryl said her primary goal was to foster a vibrant and inclusive fashion community while providing opportunities for emerging talent to shine.
A Lineup of Talent and Tradition
“This year’s runway will showcase an extraordinary all-women design lineup, blending cultural heritage with sustainability and innovation,” Cheryl said. “Guests can expect to see a stunning array of garments and accessories that embrace upcycling, repurposing and handcrafted techniques.
“Many First Nations and other featured designers, and even the models, are taking to the catwalk for the first time – and doing themselves, their families and their culture proud.”
First Nations designers include:
- Murrii Quu Couture
- Maggi Walsh Label
- Yuban Designs by Davena Monro: Swimwear debut
- Strong Women Talking
- Deadly Denim (Perth, WA): Elevating upcycled denim
- Val Smith Designs (Lismore, NSW): Traditional craftsmanship with refined tailoring
Other featured designers:
- 9.Designs: Reconstructed, avant-garde fashion
- Amelia J Tahere-Angus / ameliaj.designs
- Mikas.Brisbane: Handcrafted rubber jewellery with a distinctly Japanese aesthetic
For the first time, there will be exclusive shopping opportunities after the show so attendees have the chance to take home a unique memento of the experience.
Cheryl also encouraged attendees to wear their own vintage, repurposed or upcycled fashion on the night.
Come and enjoy an evening where fashion meets purpose and community flourishes. Tickets are $120 per person or $1000 for a table of ten.
