Stepping Stone North, a community of people experiencing mental health concerns who are committed to their recovery journey, is hosting a free lunch at its Chermside clubhouse on Christmas Day.

The event offers a safe and welcoming space for members to celebrate together.

While Christmas is often associated with family gatherings and festive meals, many people face the day alone or struggle with large social settings. Stepping Stone North aims to ensure its members experience the joy, connection, and true spirit of Christmas through this special event.

Members Share Their Experiences

Stepping Stone member Luke, who attended last year’s lunch, said it was great to have a Christmas with Stepping Stone North to feel involved in the community during Christmas time.

“It was good to have special food and to be around friends,” Luke said.

Fellow member Sue said the event made her feel included and wanted.

“Last year was the best Christmas Day I have had in years,” Sue said. “Filled with laughter, good friends, great food and no stress.”

Those interested in attending can call 3121 8555.

Anyone experiencing mental health challenges and wishing to join a like-minded community can visit the clubhouse at 88 Delaware Street, Chermside, for a tour. Membership is free.
