Muscle Garden is redefining what it means to belong to a gym. With a strong commitment to inclusivity and creating a welcoming atmosphere, this Wavell Heights-based gym ensures everyone – no matter their fitness level, age, size or experience – feels comfortable from the moment they walk through the door.
Muscle Garden’s founder, Kay Nyenuh, has expanded his brand of positive fitness from Mackay – where he has four gyms – to Brisbane. This time he has joined forces with personal trainer and nutritionist, Adam Hamilton to open Brisbane’s first Muscle Garden.
“We pride ourselves on creating a place where everyday people feel at home,” Kay said. “It’s a place where people can be part of something much bigger than just a place to exercise. This is a community-focused space where everyone is welcome.”
“Big gyms can often feel overwhelming, even for those who know their way around,” Adam said. “We wanted to offer an alternative, a space where you can work out and feel comfortable. This gym was needed in Brisbane.”
Inclusivity and a Welcoming Fitness Community
Recognising how daunting starting or returning to the gym can be, Kay and Adam have cultivated an environment that promotes confidence and a sense of belonging.
“If you’ve never been to a gym before, you’ve had a bad experience or you aren’t sure if working out at a gym is for you, we invite you to come and try us out,” Kay said. “We aren’t your typical gym and you’ve got nothing to lose.”
To help you settle into your new space, Muscle Garden provides support for new members with video walkthroughs to guide you on equipment and a 45-minute introductory coaching session and program setup with Adam, to make sure you feel comfortable and supported.
Whether you’re an experienced gym-goer, returning after a break or working out for the first time, Muscle Garden offers a non-judgmental, supportive community where you’ll never feel out of place.
More than just a gym, it’s a place where people from all backgrounds come together to work toward their fitness goals in a supportive environment. To help newcomers feel at ease, they offer a seven-day trial so you can experience the inclusive atmosphere for yourself.
