A warm welcome to 2026 from the ladies of the Kedron-Wavell Women’s Auxiliary. This month
we are sharing a quick and easy recipe for when school starts back and life gets crazy again.
It’s delicious and simple to prepare, freeing up time to help with homework!
We hope you enjoy this month’s recipe.
A good cook is a sorceress who dispenses happiness.
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 2 chicken stock cubes (crushed) OR 2 teaspoons chicken stock powder
- 1/3 cup water
- A little garlic and green ginger (to taste)
- Chicken pieces
Method
- Place the chicken in a baking dish.
- Combine all other ingredients and pour over the chicken.
- Cook in a moderate oven until the chicken is tender, turning once during cooking.
- The liquid will be fairly thin, so it may be thickened with a little cornflour (do not use wheaten cornflour) and water.
Serve with rice or noodles.
