After great success last year, the Veterans Brisbane Gaming and Hobby Expo is back and this time it promises to be bigger and better than before!

The expo on Saturday, 5 October is a free initiative hosted by Mates4Mates and RSL Queensland, held at the RSL Queensland Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centre in Stafford. The event aims to give all people within the defence community an opportunity to socialise with like-minded people who enjoy video games, along with many other forms of gaming.

Providing a multitude of different workshops throughout the day, the expo also provides a safe space for veterans to learn and discover new hobbies surrounding the world of video games, and tabletop roleplaying games and craft.

Building Connections and Registering for the Event

Mates4Mates, one of the organisations hosting the event, aims to foster connections and build community around the defence force throughout Queensland. On their website, they state, “At Mates4Mates, we are here to support veterans, current-serving members, and the families that stand by their side.”

Mates4Mates, along with RSL Queensland, host many other events with the same goal in mind of fostering community and connections and benefitting and rebuilding the lives of veterans.

If you are interested in participating in any of the workshops there are only an allocated number of spots. Email brisbaneactivity@mates4mates.org to apply for workshops.

Capacity at the expo is limited, so you must register online here
